Captain Kiel is an Acquisitions Manager at Rome Research Laboratory who leads cost, schedule and performance execution for a $197M electronic warfare/kinetic Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Research and Development portfolio. He also manages 22-member military/civilian/contractor team to develop, field, and transition these advanced capabilities across four Combat Commands, while in addition chairing the Air Force Research Laboratory's
investment strategy role in a $46M international Research, Development, Technology & Engineering mitigation effort of Unmanned Aircraft Systems agreement between the FVEY nations.
Captain Kiel entered the Air Force in December 2008 as a munitions systems apprentice. His background includes various leadership duties in conventional munitions/missile operations, program management, developmental test, and research and development at many Air Force organizational levels.
Captain Kiel has deployed in direct support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
