Jimmie Romero

Jimmie Romero serves as the Director of Career Services at Pueblo Community College (PCC), where he helps students navigate their educational journey and connect with the workforce. A proud native of Pueblo, Colorado, Romero is dedicated to promoting student success and fostering long-term professional growth within his community. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Colorado State University-Pueblo (CSU-Pueblo) in 2019, Romero gained experience in various student support roles. Before joining PCC's Career Center, he served as an academic coach at GOAL Academy High School and a school community advocate for Pueblo School District No. 60. Additionally, he held a position as a Degree Analyst at CSU-Pueblo, where he managed transfer articulation, degree auditing, and other registrar-related duties. Romero began his career at Pueblo Community College in 2022 as an Academic & Career Expert for STEM Programs before being promoted to Director of Career Services in September 2023. In his current role, he focuses on strengthening industry partnerships, creating experiential learning opportunities, and analyzing labor market data to align career pathways with workforce demands. He also provides personalized career guidance and resources to help students build the skills and knowledge needed for professional success.
