Biographical Information

Lizzie was born on November 28, 2016. She is a tiny Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, weighing in at only 12 pounds. She was rescued from a puppy mill at five months old and nursed back to health by Cavalier Rescue USA. Although she had a ruff start in life, Lizzie is a resilient, happy, and very energetic pup. Lizzie has the Canine Good Citizen certification and is registered with Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She started as a therapy dog at Oklahoma University with Pete’s Pet Posse at just one year old.
She has served as therapy dog in Colorado since 2018 with the Pet Ambassadors at Penrose Hospital and is a UCCS Canine Connections pup. Lizzie participates in research on the impact of therapy dogs and is the star of a new children’s book set to be published in Spring 2026.
