Tacy Killingsworth has served in public education for over two decades in a variety of roles. She began her career in the classroom, teaching preschool special needs and third grade for ten years. She spent eight years as a school leader and five years as Director for Curriculum and Instruction driving innovation and excellence in K–12 education. Tacy also spent five years teaching at UCCS in the Leadership, Research and Foundations Department before moving back into public education in the K12 setting. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Learning Services in Academy District 20 in Colorado Springs where she supports, coaches, and mentors principals across the district in leading strategic initiatives to enhance student learning and academic support. Her passion for ensuring every student succeeds drives her daily work of supporting schools to develop Professional Learning Community systems and structures that engage students and staff in high levels of learning.
