Tennille is an accomplished early childhood education professional with over 30 years of experience in diverse educational settings. Her career began in St. Louis, Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Harris-Stowe State College in 2001. She taught kindergarten in the St. Louis Public School system before moving to Germany, where she completed a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction while working as a preschool teacher.
After relocating to Colorado Springs, Tennille served as a Training and Curriculum Specialist and Director at the Air Force Academy's Child Development Center. She later worked as a kindergarten at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy before her family's next international move. In England, she rejoined a Child Development Center as a Training and Curriculum Specialist and later became a Preschool Teacher for the Department of Defense Education Activity(DoDEA).
Returning to Colorado Springs in 2019, Tennille taught kindergarten and then transitioned to preschool in District Eleven. In 2020, she earned a certificate in Early Childhood Special Education and now serves as a Preschool Instructional Coach for the district's preschool department. She is also a University Supervisor and mentor teacher, demonstrating her passion for guiding pre-service educators and championing inclusive learning for all children.
