Aja'Dae L. Trent (she/her) is a transformational leader pursuing a Master’s in Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Women’s and Ethnic Studies (WEST), awarded by the department for being an Outstanding Undergraduate, and received the Outstanding Service to the College award at Pikes Peak State College. Rooted in Colorado Springs, Aja'Dae serves as a Social Studies teacher at Eastlake High School, where she shares her educational journey to inspire and guide students. Her practicum work focuses on community engagement and advancing K-12 education, addressing systemic barriers to create lasting impact. Aja'Dae is honored to have been published in the Black History Bulletin (BHB), with her work featured in the special issue on African Americans and Labor (Volume 87, Number 2, Fall 2024)​. Her commitment to ethnographic research drives her mission to challenge societal norms and enrich the understanding of lived experiences in education.
