By enrolling in one of the excellent programs offered here, you have identified yourself as an educational leader. You are now embarking upon an adventure in learning. Through this program you will be in partnership with a faculty of outstanding professionals who are also leaders in the field of education. They have been selected because of their commitment to excellence, their outstanding record in teaching adults, and their ability to mentor and develop leaders.

Teaching & LearningTeaching & Learning
Our Teacher Education & Licensure Program includes Undergraduate and Post-baccalaureate options in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary and Special Education. Our secondary education content areas are English, World Languages, and Social Studies. Those interested in secondary Math and Science will complete the UCCSTeach program, an inquiry-based program modeled after the highly successful UTeach program. Our Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) is offered for secondary licensure (English, Foreign Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies) with online course availability and a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction option. Teaching & Learning is also home to a variety of certificates, endorsements, Bachelors and Masters programs.

The Office of Inclusive Services at UCCS provides students with intellectual disabilities support to meaningfully access academic, career, and social activities on campus.
Students receive individualized services from trained mentors, peer volunteers, and faculty, designed to meet their learning needs and career aspirations.
As a fully matriculated student:
- Earn a nationally recognized certificate
- Take two to three courses in line with career goals
- Participate in internships
- Join clubs and participate in campus activities
- Create a personal portfolio
- Develop opportunities for off-campus employment
- Set goals and develop a clear career path
