Leya Schnitter (she/they) is the new Coordinator of Programs & Resources for the Division of Inclusive Culture & Belonging. They are excited for this position as they get to engage the UCCS community in Social Justice & Inclusion through programs like MLK Days of Service & Action, and the Heritage Month Munch & Learns. Since graduating from Portland State University with their Bachelor's in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, they've been passionate about being in the helping profession, and being an advocate. Pursuing their Master's in Student Affairs in Higher Education has solidified their passion in working with college students. During Fall 2024, they are completing their practicum as a Career Coach at the Career Center at UCCS. Leya enjoys working with students that are excited to take the next steps in their academic and vocational careers.
