Biographical Information

Michele Mortensen has worked with clients since 2006, and specializes in TBI, kids and families in crisis, developmental disorders and mental health concerns.   Michele works with kids, adults, and seniors and enjoys working with individuals in office, online, and out in nature. Instructor Mortensen joined UCCS in 2021.  She has been teaching since 2012 in counseling and psychology departments both online, and on campus. 
Michele is a board certified, licensed counselor that also has specialized training in Addictions counseling, and the use of equine in psychotherapy.

Areas of Interest:  Neuropsychology, Kids/families in crisis, TBI, Equine assisted interactions in psychotherapy
