Biographical Information

Dr. Shinji Katsumoto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership, Research, and Foundations in the College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. His research focuses on international students, university rankings, and student success. 
He primarily employes a range of quantitative methods to examine how higher education can provide meaningful experiences and support to 
students both nationally and internationally. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Iowa, where he also completed a master's degree in educational Measurement and Statistics. His research has been published in leading journals such as AERA Open, Compare, Higher Education, Journal of Diversity in Higher Education, and the Journal of Higher Education
