About
Cory Gavitt has worked in education for the last 14 years, teaching science in Colorado Springs School District 11. After nine years in the science classroom, Cory was tasked with implementing Project Lead the Way's GTT program at Jenkins's Middle School and spent five years building that program. Before teaching Cory roamed the wilds of California, Arizona, and Nevada as a geologist for several engineering firms. Cory's own academic studies came from the University of Wisconsin (go Badgers!) where he earned bachelor degrees in Geology and Geophysics. Cory was drawn to UCCS for his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2002 and couldn't be more excited to offer his classroom experience to the UCCSTeach students.
