I am Andre Guy, born and raised in Takoma Park, MD. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School, I served in the U.S. Army for 7.5 years, including three deployments to Afghanistan, until I was medically discharged due to a wrist injury. I then transitioned into higher education, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration from Pikes Peak State College. During my time at Pikes Peak, I held leadership positions in Phi Theta Kappa and the Black Student Union and worked as an Administrative Assistant I. These roles allowed me to engage in community service and mentor high school students through programs like AAYLC and Educating Children of Color. In 2020, I became a Success Coach for the Promise Programs, and later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business at UCCS, which I completed in 2023. Encouraged by my supervisor, I am now working toward a Master of Leadership in Student Affairs in Higher Education to continue supporting students.
