Dr. Nancy Marchand-Martella is a professor in the Department of Teaching & Learning at UCCS, having previously worked as Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Special Advisor to the Chancellor for Faculty Success Initiatives. Prior to UCCS, Dr. Marchand-Martella was honored to serve as the Suzi and Dale Gallagher Dean of the College of Education at Purdue University. At Purdue, Marchand-Martella led the College of Education’s Innovation Initiative, the most comprehensive change in over two decades to the teacher education curriculum spanning five colleges. Dr. Marchand-Martella has over 35 years of experience working with students at the preK-12 and university levels and is a board-certified behavior analyst—doctoral level. She is widely published in the area of academic remediation and has authored several textbooks on instruction,
behavior management, and research methods along with McGraw-Hill literacy programs for at-risk students.
