Biographical Information

Dr. Rachel Ratliff is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at UCCS. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Dr. Ratliff is an educator, practicing clinician and researcher. Dr. Ratliff's clinical work currently occurs within a hospital setting where she works with patients 13 years of age and older with a variety of mental health concerns including suicidality, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other mental health issues that can require hospitalization. Her scholarship focuses on sex positivity within counselor education programs and how to ensure that counselors are entering the field ready to address sexuality topics with their future clients. She is currently the Chair for the Western Region of the American Counseling Association.
