Sean Dean, PhD
Biographical Information
Sean is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching, academic support, and educational leadership. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), where he also completed his M.A. in Leadership with a focus on Student Affairs in Higher Education, and his B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Over the years, Sean has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, specializing in research methods, statistics, and study skills. His teaching approach emphasizes the practical application of research methods and the development of critical academic skills, aiming to enhance student success across diverse learning environments.
Beyond the classroom, Sean has held staff roles at UCCS, including Assistant Director of the Excel Math Center, where he worked with the Director and student staff in creating and managing programs that support student retention and success in mathematics. His work extended to training and mentoring student staff, collaborating with faculty, and leading academic intervention initiatives.
